Who writes these posts?
Every post is written by Aaron VanSledright, founder of 45Squared, a studio that has built WordPress sites since 2015. We write from what we see on the 30+ sites we host and maintain, not from press releases. When a post cites a number, it links to the source, such as W3Techs for usage figures or the official WordPress News for release details.
How often are they updated?
We review each post at least once a year and whenever WordPress changes in a way that affects the advice. The date at the top of each post shows when it was last reviewed. The three WordPress posts were first published in December 2020 and fully rewritten in September 2026. The Grand Rapids pricing guide and the guide to stopping contact form junk were added in September 2026.
What topics do you cover?
We stick to what helps owners make decisions:
- Choosing a platform. When WordPress fits and when it doesn’t.
- Building and editing. The block editor, themes and page builders.
- Looking after a site. Updates, security, speed, backups and contact forms that deliver.
- Being found. SEO, accessibility and showing up in AI answers.
We don’t cover developer tutorials or plugin coding. If a post needs a technical step, we explain what it does and why, so you can decide whether to do it yourself or hand it to someone.
